First (only) visit: July 2008
Visited: Rhyl, Conway, Llandundo.
Considering I had been around the whole world, not doing Wales was a bit of a sin. The place ultimately thrilled me, firstly for the language, secondly for its lovely little towns and ruins and thirdly for the openness of the people, who kept on reminding me that they were Welsh and not English, at every occasion. I had good weather, and the combination of sea and quaint villages made for a truly lovely time. Pity this is in the UK and that the weather is usually not so grand.
Highlight: Llandundo, unpronouncable, but a lovely retreat from anything further than 1960.
