Harry's Trails Around The World

Harry Travels World

Equatorial Guinea

First (only) visit: March 2008 Visited: Malabo, Bata This was the last independent country I did, landing in Malabo on March 19, 2008, I could finally claim that I did it, my aim was achieved. Despite the tremendous difficulty in getting the visa, the place is rather appealing, if small. Malabo has enough Chinese to make it feel almost Asian, but the nicest place was Bata, with its lovely coastal walkway and an impressive cathedral. Highlight: Meeting two of the five Greeks who live permanently in the country and getting their insight into this bizarre land.
