Not high on anybody's list, yet N'djamena offers the black African version of Arabia and in that is rather intriguing. The market, full of flies and filth, is very enticing, there are plenty of arches in the architecture and cafe Amandine offers shelter from the unbelievable heat. I am lucky I went when I did, a few months later there were riots with dead bodies everywhere.
Highlight: Amandine, a touch of civilisation.
