This was a country I had a 'thing' for in the mid-1990s, even starting to learn its bizarre Finno-Ugric language. Tallinn has developed nicely during the years I have known it, only that progress has brought too many drunk tourists and prices from hell, ultimately I prefered its post-Soviet atmosphere back in 1994 when being a tourist here was a novelty. The countryside is flat and rather uninteresting, apart from the areas by the sea. Still, worth a peek, and let yourself be romanced in Tallinn's old town, though (friends apart), the people are either Russian or aloof Estonians, so you are caught between two not-promising options.
Highlight: The cafe in the old town I used to go to with Vivien...can't recall its name.
