Visited: Muscat, Khasab (Musandam), Salalah, Mirbat, Nizwa.
Great place, with friendly people and a truly alluring Arabian atmosphere at points, this country is otherwise very barren and the capital spread out and rather boring really. Ideal for expats though, who can enjoy the sea and avoid massive traffic jams or over-crowding. Most of the pictures here are from the peninsula of Musandam, cut off from the rest of Oman by UAE, and from Salalah to the very south, near the border with Yemen.
Highlight: The sandy beaches, truly wonderful on all the senses.
